Bagpipers from the Scottish Tradition School of Piping and local veterans will lead a parade of stilt walkers, invited guests, pedestrians and cyclists across the bridge to officially mark the opening.

The celebration is being organized by the community with assistance from The City of Calgary.

Pedestrians and cyclists approaching the party from the north side of the river should note access to the Peace Bridge is restricted until approximately 2:15 p.m. due to a marathon occurring along the north pathway.
