Today, the Canadian environment sector is adiverse and growing field with new opportunities for business & employment emerging every day. This presentation will share current labour market research regarding the environmentally related jobs and skills that are most in demand. It will also focus on the resources available to emerging environmental professionals to explore, find and build a career in this dynamic sector.
The Environmental Careers Organization (ECO Canada) is a national not-for-profit organization that was established in 1992. Its mission is to build the world’s leading environmental workforce, and its mandate is to ensurean adequate supply of people with the demonstrated skills and knowledge required to meet the environmental human resource needs of the public and private sectors.
Elizabeth is a Senior Manager with ECO Canada. In this role she is focused on building the community of certified Environmental Professionals in Canada through events, publications, the mentorship program, and increasing the profile of the profession.
