The Toronto Star published an article last Saturday describing Calgary’s burgeoning cultural amenities. Author William Littler describes the emergence of world class ballet, music, and theatre in Calgary. As it turns out the 3.75 million dollar budget of the Calgary Arts Development places Calgary as highest spender per capita on culture of Canadian cities. Littler also mentions the soon to be finished (Fall-ish) Calatrava Peace Bridge as being a sign of Calgary’s contemporary cultural boom.
