Degree Planning Workshop – Oct 5th

UrbanCSA and the Student Success Centre are hosting an Urban Studies Degree Planning Workshop. The goal of this session is to help Urban Studies majors and minors plan their degree to graduate on time, take the most relevant courses, as well as prevent problems down the road. This workshop will provide you with information on:

•  Important prerequisites
• Recommended courses
• Specializations
• Honors thesis
• Group study/study abroad options
• Architecture minor
• preparing for grad school
• Q&A session after the presentation

The workshop will be held on October 5th from 2-3pm in ES342. Hope to see you there!

Welcome Back Students! UrbanCSA Mixer

Welcome back students! It is always a good time starting a new semester (at least I think it is ). And first years, welcome to the Unviersity of Calgary! The University of Calgary is a great university with lots of awesome things to offer you, including this students’ association (not to brag or anything). If you are an Urban Studies major or are just interested in urban related issues/topics please join us for our first event which is so titled UrbanCSA’s Welcome Back Mixer. The mixer will take place on Monday, September 26th from 5 – 8 at the Grad Lounge. The Grad Lounge, if you haven’t been there, is on the third floor of MacHall, and offers a wide range of beverages from coke (if you don’t drink) to a variety of beers on tap. With a five dollar membership to UrbanCSA not only will you get to banter with us about Marx or Nenshi (I don’t know why those were the first to names that popped into my head…), but you will also get a complimentary beer and as much pizza as you want – well at least as much as you can fight for. Please come out meet other Urban Studies majors, or other awesome people as I like to call them and enjoy pizza and beer for a fraction of the cost. See you there!
